Mexico & Belize

Just back from a trip to Mexico & Belize, the perfect antidote to the English winter!  I travelled the length of the Yucatan Peninsula then crossed over to  San Pedro on the Belize Cayes  ( made famous by Madge when she sang "Last night I dreamed of San Pedro......)

Fantastic diving, wonderful food and just the odd Margarita .

and a close encounter !

Bill Cunningham New York

Everybody with even a passing interest in photography and fashion should beg, borrow, steal or even rent a copy of this wonderfully uplifting documentary.

Bill Cunningham is an 87 year old New Yorker who spends his days cycling around the city shooting street fashion. Although he has no interest in photography per se,  only as a means to an end, his enthusiasm, stamina and complete lack of pretension should be a lesson to us all. Watch and be inspired.

Battersea Power Station

Georgina & Rob had the most amazing wedding reception inside Battersea Power Station

It was a very stylish event, Georgina is the only Bride I've known to choose her transport to match her  shoes !

Thanks to Mark Niemierko, London's top wedding planner, for putting together this fantastic event.

Olympic Torch

Great excitement in my home town of Hastings as the Olympic Torch arrives !

The guy on the left is the brother of my ex next door neighbour, never let it be said I don't mix with the rich and famous !

Lake Como

I'm just back from shooting an amazing wedding on Lake Como.

Henrietta & Andrea got married at the Church of  St Abbondio in Mezzegra and had their reception at the Villa Pizzo on the shores of the lake.

It was a crazy day which of course the weather played a big part in.  From 30.C and brilliant sunshine to torrential rain, we had it all. At one point a small river was running through the reception marquee ! but everybody had a wonderful time and it made the day even more special.

The day was planned by Rachel Birthistle of 'The Lake Como Wedding Planner' company who put together a great event.

Henrietta and Andrea travelled from the church to Villa Pizzo by speedboat, managing to beat the rain by about 30 seconds !

I have a lot of experience shooting 'Destination Weddings' so please do get in contact if you are planning your own overseas day.

It's on shoots like this that I realise how lucky I am to be doing the job I do.

Tuscan wedding

One of the perks of working for 'Condé Nast Brides' magazine is being sent to photograph fantastic weddings in great locations. I went out to Greve in Chianti to shoot  Sarah & Thomas's wedding at the Villa Vignamaggio.

If you're planning a destination wedding, do have a look.

I had help from the fabulous wedding planner Joelle Edwards who is based in Italy. She organised a wonderful day which ran like clockwork ( bearing in mind it's an Italian clock ! )

For copyright reasons I can't post any pictures yet but here's a snap of me hard at work.

Variety really is the spice of life.

I found myself in a bullring in Southern Spain photographing mock bullfighting. I promise you no bulls were harmed in any way in the taking of the pictures.

The only injury was to me, after two hours in the searing sun I emerged with over a hundred sand flea bites !
